Landscape of Soul · Anago Forest, Yunnan

This site-based installation was created in the Anago Forest on the Yunnan Plateau. Tree trunks used in Naxi sky-offering rituals were combined with handmade Dongba paper, adhered using natural paste, and placed between mountains and forest as a listening point.

Over time, rain, wind, and environmental exposure gradually dissolved the paper back into the land, while the wood returned to the forest. The installation was conceived as a temporary listening spot rather than a permanent object, emphasizing impermanence, reciprocity, and the return of materials to their ecological origins.
